Our Tarrytown Project

Lutron Keypads + Lighting Scenes

Our Tarrytown pavilion uses Lutron controls for the lighting throughout the building. We programmed keypad scenes that include all-on and all-off, with controls placed around the spaces the owners use.

Scope & Options

Planning Controls Around the Room

A scene sets several lights to chosen levels together. We discuss what you need for watching TV, cleaning, entertaining, or leaving the house, then plan the controls and programming for those tasks.

Fixtures & Dimming

We review the fixtures, lamps, and existing controls so the proposed dimming equipment is compatible.

Keypad Locations

We plan where you need controls and what each button should do, including how lights work individually and in groups.

System Integration

Lighting can work as its own system or connect to home automation. If motorized shades are part of the project, we assess their power, window, and control requirements separately.

Questions, Answered

Common Questions

What does a lighting scene do?

A scene applies chosen settings to a group of lights. For example, one button can dim the theater sconces and set the other room lights to the levels you select.

Can you add lighting control to an existing home?

We assess the current wiring, fixtures, controls, and equipment locations. The suitable system and installation work depend on what is already there and what you want to change.

Can you service or reprogram an existing Lutron system?

We assess the installed system, access, and available programming before recommending changes. We confirm support for its particular equipment as part of that review.

Does lighting control require a complete home automation system?

Lighting can operate independently. We can also assess integration with home automation when you want shared control of lights, audio, video, or shades.

How much does lighting control cost?

The fixtures, number of controlled lights, keypads, programming, and installation requirements affect the scope. Service calls carry a minimum charge. Larger projects receive a detailed, room-by-room proposal before you commit.
