Questions, Answered

Common Questions

How much does home theater installation cost?

Cost depends on the display, speakers, wiring access, controls, and installation work. Simple installs such as a TV are billed hourly plus equipment and tax. Service calls carry a minimum charge. A larger theater project receives a detailed, room-by-room proposal before you commit. Share your budget so we can recommend a system that fits.

Can you install surround sound in a finished room?

Yes. We inspect the existing wiring and access through walls, ceilings, and adjacent spaces before recommending speaker locations and cable routes. If the installation requires drywall repair, a separate trade handles that work.

Should I choose a projector or a large-screen TV?

Room light, seating distance, screen size, and budget guide the choice. A bright living room often suits a TV; a room with controlled lighting can support a larger projected image. We install both and compare the options during the consultation.

Can you upgrade a theater another company installed?

Yes. We assess the existing equipment and wiring, explain what can stay, and recommend the changes needed. A projector replacement, surround sound upgrade, or control problem can be a standalone job.

When should theater wiring be planned for a new build or remodel?

Bring us in during design so we can coordinate speaker locations, cable routes, and equipment storage with your builder or designer. Open walls make wiring easier. We also assess installation options in finished homes.

Can a home theater share a screen with a golf simulator?

Yes. Our Tarrytown project uses one screen for a golf simulator and home theater, with 7.1 surround and raised seating. A shared room needs a plan for swing clearance, screen placement, seating, and equipment before installation.
