Home Wi-Fi & Network Troubleshooting
We diagnose dropped connections, unreliable Wi-Fi, and wired network problems. We check the affected rooms and equipment, explain what we find, and discuss the repair or upgrade needed to get the system working.
Network equipment from our installation portfolio
"I hired Bennett Technologies to fix my house's in-wall network wiring and install a new networking cabinet. They did a fantastic and professional job for a perfectly reasonable price."

Find the Cause
Start With the Connection That Fails
A streaming problem in one room calls for a different investigation than a connection that drops throughout the house. We begin with the symptoms, then check the wiring, Wi-Fi coverage, equipment, and configuration involved.
Before a visit, note which devices are affected, whether wired connections still work, and when the problem occurs. Equipment model numbers and photos help us prepare. We discuss the findings and proposed changes before proceeding with repair work.
The network supports streaming audio, video, and home automation. We include those connections when they are part of the problem.
What We Assess
Coverage, Cables & Equipment
The service visit starts with the fault you are experiencing. If the findings call for a larger change, we explain the installation options.
Wi-Fi Coverage
Access point placement, connections, and the rooms where coverage drops.
Wireless Connections
Cabling & Wall Connections
Existing cable runs, terminations, and wiring faults.
Physical Infrastructure
Network Equipment
Router, switch, and device connections that support the system.

Our Northwest Austin Project
The First Visit Was for the Network
Our work at this home began with persistent network problems. We resolved those issues before the owners later asked us to convert their Crestron system to Control4 and remodel the theater.
The project grew over time to include audio, video, touch screens, and outdoor connectivity. Your service visit can stay focused on the connection problem you need solved.

Questions, Answered
Before Booking a Visit
Should I call my internet provider first?
If service is down throughout the home or your provider reports an outage, checking with the provider is a useful first step. We assess the home network and its connection to the provider equipment. If the issue is upstream of the home network, we explain the findings so you can follow up with the provider.
Can you test the network cables already in my walls?
Yes. We test existing network wiring and assess connections, terminations, and equipment. We explain any repair or replacement needed before moving ahead with that work.
Do I need a new router or a faster internet plan?
That depends on the cause. Coverage, wiring, equipment configuration, a device problem, or the internet service can each affect performance. We review the symptoms and test the relevant connections before recommending new equipment.
Can you service a network another company installed?
Yes. We assess existing systems, including networks supporting TVs, music, and home automation. Access to equipment, account ownership, and available system information help us determine the work we can perform.
What does a service visit cost?
Service calls carry a minimum charge. We discuss the assessment and explain the scope and cost of recommended work. If a larger network upgrade is needed, we provide a detailed proposal before you commit.
