Room Planning
Plan the Seating Before the Screen Goes Up
Our Kingsland theater uses raised seating platforms for multiple rows. We planned the seating with the projection screen and speaker locations. For a room with several rows, that layout determines sightlines and where wiring needs to go.
For a new theater, we review sightlines, speaker positions, cable paths, and equipment storage with your builder. For a finished room, we assess what can be installed within the existing space and discuss any construction needed.

Equipment & Installation
Display, Sound & Controls
The room determines which equipment fits. We plan the system around how you watch, where you sit, and what you want to operate from the remote.
TVs & Projectors
Screen size, viewing distance, daylight, and the location of your seating help determine the display. We plan mounts, cable connections, and access to the equipment.
Surround Sound
We select speakers and amplification for the room, plan speaker and subwoofer placement, run the wiring, and set up the sound for the seating area.
Remotes & Room Controls
We configure the controls for the equipment you use. Lighting and shades can be included through a compatible home automation system.

Questions, Answered
Before We Start
Can you build a theater in an existing living room?
Yes. We plan TV or projector placement and sound around the furniture, daylight, and finishes. A dedicated room offers different choices for seating and light control, but a shared living room can still have a planned audio/video system.
Do we need a seating riser?
A riser may be useful when there is more than one row. The decision depends on screen height, sightlines, seating, and the room. We coordinate the layout with your builder before construction.
Can you upgrade a system someone else installed?
Yes. We assess the speakers, receiver, display, wiring, and controls you already own. We explain what can remain and which changes are needed for the upgrade.
How much does installation cost?
The scope can range from a TV installation to a complete room. Simple installations are hourly plus equipment and tax, and service calls carry a minimum charge. Larger projects receive a detailed room-by-room proposal before you commit.
Can you conceal wiring in finished walls?
We assess the wall construction and access before committing to a cable route. We plan to minimize openings. If patching is needed, your drywall company, handyman, or painter handles it; we do not perform drywall repair.
